Day 51 - February 20, 2009

Today we were going to go to the shop to bring Ryan the camera and help with condition reports but I didn't hear him tell me he would call me when he was ready so we took a drive for no good reason :) Of course, Andrew fell asleep in the car so when we got home I let him sleep. The picture today is of my tired little boy asleep in his car seat. He looks so precious to me!

Oh ya and we only went through 3 diapers today! Andrew does really well going potty if I remember to take him in there. He does't quite do it on his own. But it is progress :)

Day 50 - February 19, 2009

Today was kind of busy! Andrew knows how to say "eat" now. But any way, today Andrew and I went with my mom to register for the baby shower. It was a little bit of a waste because they did not have much at all! So we went to Babies R Us instead and registered there! I fell in love with a crib set there! Andrew was a bit cranky and when we were trying to return the scanner and stuff he kept telling me he wanted to "drive." There was a Mickey Mouse car there and he wanted to drive it. So I let him :) He loved it and it was well worth the 50 cents!

Day 49 - February 18, 2009

We went down to the shop to bring Uncle Chris his debit card and get the camera for condition reports. While I was in Samari Sam's getting lunch Uncle Chris took some pictures of Andrew in the car. This is my favorite one:

Day 48 - February 17, 2009

Andrew LOVES trucks and cars! He is kind of funny with how he plays with them. A lot of times I will find him lining them all up in a row. Then he will tip them up so they are pointing straight in the air. He learned this from watching his dad at work. He will push his cars and say "push" like he is moving the quads around at Ryan's work. It is really funny how much he picks up down there! I think it is especially funny that he sits on his dump truck... it's not made to sit on. Oh well, lol. Here is a picture of him playing with the truck :)

Day 47 - February 16, 2009

Andrew can be quite a handful! Today's picture is of him emptying out the drawer under his crib, getting inside it, and coloring all over it. At least it's not the walls??

Day 46 - February 15, 2009

I don't get how kids can just play for hours. Andrew has been playing and is completely content with his trucks which he driving around the room and up the wall! :) He has so much imagination and I love that about him!

Today Ryan had to go out of town to Flagstaff for work. We were going to go with him but since I didn't really feel like being "up and at em" at 6am we are going to go later in the week when he needs to make another trip. He said there is lots of snow! Andrew has never seen snow and it has been years since I have!! So I am looking forward to going.

Today I realized I don't have many pictures of myself and Andrew, or our whole family for that matter, and I decided to try and get one of Andrew and I. It was not very easy. I'd set the timer on the camera and hope for the best. And even though most of my hair is cut off here is my favorite and my picture for today:

Day 45 - February 14, 2009

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today we all kind of just hung out. I made eggs, bacon, and toast for breakfast. I have never ever made bacon before now! Weird huh? After I did some house work Ryan stayed with Andrew and I was able to leave the house, all by myself, for the first time in a looooong time, to go grocery shopping. Not so much fun, but it was kinda nice just being able to run in and get out! We also went to Ryan's grandma's for dinner. She went all out and cooked turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, stuffing, deviled eggs, and cranberry sauce! After dinner Andrew played on Jenna's keyboard and danced around the house. Then we came home, Andrew took a bath and went to bed, and I made cupcakes.

Day 44 - February 13, 2009

It's Friday the 13th! Creepy.

Anyway, today we went to the shop to see Ryan. Andrew fell asleep in the car so I let him nap a little bit and when he woke up he was not happy so we left. I don't know what it is about him and waking up. He has been getting so mad lately when he wakes up. I know he hasn't really been feeling well so hopefully this will pass!

When we got home we played out in the grass for awhile and Andrew collected twigs. He is easily amused and loves it outside! He calmed down once we started driving after leaving the shop so he was in a good mood. When we went inside Andrew was playing with his dinosaur and making it rawr. That is the funniest thing ever... I really need a video of it! He also insisted on tipping his busy box on it's side and driving it! There's a little wheel that turns and he pretends to drive it.

And I'm sure everyone loves Andrew's potty updates (sarcasm lol) but this one is funny! So I sit him up on the toliet and he makes these "rrrrr" (sounds kinda like grunting) and I was kind of confused as to why. Then 4 little drops of pee landed in the potty and I laughed. I reminded him that if he doesn't have to go... don't force it, lol! At least he knows :)

Andrew is wearing my dad's gloves that he uses to bring in firewood. He's such a goof. Oh, and on a side note, those shorts he is wearing are my favorites! There are from Children's Place, size 12 months, and still fit. How, I don't know. Everything else he wears is at least 18 months but mostly 24 months.

Day 43 - February 12, 2009

Today was rough. Apparently Andrew has decided he no longer needs naps even though he turns into a cranky monster! Today he was in the most horrible mood and honestly it was driving me insane!

One good thing is he likes using the potty... not his potty... but the regular one. He went again tonight all by himself. Once Andrew had his bath and was getting ready for bed he calmed down and let his bad mood go away.

Day 42 - February 11, 2009

Wow, Andrew and I did not do much today! We really just played all day long! Right through nap time too. Even though that may seem uneventful to most people it was really interesting to me. I am amazed by how much Andrew has grown lately. It started hitting me at the bank. We have gone to the same credit union for years. Seriously, I've had the same bank for almost 10 years. I love all of the people there and they have gotten to see Andrew from the time he was a newborn. Well now every time we go in there we have a bit of a routine. There is Mickey, who spoils Andrew with suckers. He knows it too. He knows that there is a sucker waiting for him with Mickey and of course he runs right for her most of the time! But what was funny today is that I was telling them all how much Andrew is talking now. Of course, he always is shy at first so sometimes I wonder if they believe me, lol. Any way, today I was holding Andrew and Tamara (the sweetheart that she is) was letting Andrew play with the pen thing that is attached to the electronic thing that you sign for withdrawls. (Technical terms right?) His hands were so sticky from the sucker (from Mickey) and he is just drawing. Well I was trying to get his to say different words and he finally repeated me when I said "truck." Then he shocked me and said, "I draw truck." Tamara and I looked at each other in shock lol. It was amazing :) Then later in the day we were playing and the way he interacts with toys now is so funny. He is so imaginative! He has these little people that go to his construction zone and airplane and he likes to put them in cars and make them drive. He will take all of his cars, trucks, tractors, fire trucks, etc. and line them up in a long row. But the coolest thing that happened today was the kiss. Andrew pushed my cheek so I would turn my head and smacked a kiss on my cheek! Even made the "muah" sound. Then he did that several times throughout the day and would laugh! Ahhh how'd I get such a sweet boy?!?

So, even though this whole post was about how big Andrew has gotten I have realized I only took one picture of him today and it is all blurry :( So for today I give you the belly shot. Up close and personal. Don't look too close though, ok? And ignore the scar where my belly ring used to be... gross! I hope my next little boy is as much a love bug as Andrew is!!

Day 41 - February 10, 2009

Today was kinda boring lol. We just lounged and cleaned the whole house. Andrew must have been bored because at one point he just spinned in circle after circle! This was the third day he refused to nap! I am not ready to give up naps yet!!!!!

Day 40 - February 9, 2009

It was really cloudy again today. It was such a busy day that I only took 1 picture! We helped Chris and Ryan at worked with condition reports and such. By the time we got home Andrew had fallen asleep in the car so I grabbed my laptop and finished the c.r.'s in there while he slept lol. Then we went back down to the shop after getting some DQ! Yumm-0. For part of the day it just poured rain like you wouldn't believe. So rare for AZ. At bath time Andrew kept pointing to the big potty, not his potty. So I took his diaper off and put him up there and he peed! I was surprised but happy!! He's getting so big!

The picture I took is of Andrew on "his" quad. It is the smallest one down there and he can get up on it by himself, he knows where the key goes and how to start it, plus today I saw him try to kick it in gear. He's not quite tall enough though so he can only push the lever a little bit. Guess he will be ready to ride soon... I don't think he realizes he's a bit young...

Day 39 - February 8, 2009

Today it rained. There are not too many days like that here and we staid inside mostly. We did go down to the shop for a little bit though for another condition report. Tonight I gave Andrew some benadryl because he hasn't been feeling well with a runny nose and allergy type stuff. It must have been the medicine but I watched him fall asleep tonight! That hasn't happened in ages. It could be that and the fact he refused a nap again today! But Andrew was so tired while we were reading his eyes would just slowly close, then open then close. When I was holding him to put him in his crib I just stood there for a minute rocking him like when he was a baby. It was really sweet. I don't get a ton of those moments anymore. He's still a love bug though so I guess I can't complain. There is just something so sweet when he yells mommy and runs at me to give me a hug (all on his own)! I love times like those :) My picture for today is just a random one I took.

Day 38 - February 7, 2009

Well it was another pretty relaxed day. We just played and did lots of laundry. Andrew jumped on the computer again to do some more work. Whenever he finds the opportunity he likes to sneak on the computer. He was very serious at "work" today.

Day 37 - February 6, 2009

Andrew woke up early today irritated with his stuffy nose... so I got up early too :(

We rode around in the grass on Andrew's Lil' Kawasaki, went to the post office with my mom, and played pretty much all day. One thing I love about our nights is how easy it is to get Andrew to sleep now. We have the same routine every night - dinner, bath, reading his bible, kiss then into crib (with bible) read a little more, he gives me his bible so I can put it on my bed, turn over, hug Pooh bear, another kiss and then he says night night. I love it so much!

He also say choo choo now... like on choo choo soul and with his toy trains.

Day 36 - February 5, 2009

We went to Ryan's for more condition reports! He has been getting pretty swamped with work this month so we try and help out too. Andrew fell asleep in the car on the way there and looked like a little angel! For lunch we had Phoenix House of Subs. They have a delicious antipasto salad! I gave Andrew a blue sucker while he waited in the car with Uncle Chris and when I came back he looked like a blue smurf! Then, later on, for desert he had some pudding and decided to paint it all over his face. You had a little chocolate beard. He was having fun though...

Day 35 - February 4, 2009

Today was a lazy day! It's been getting so warm, and I had a coupon, and they were having a great sale, so we went to Carter's for some summer clothes. There were all of these adorable shorts (cotton and basketball type) for $5. Plus I had my coupon so Andrew did well. He, unfortunately was not very well behaved and I forgot the stroller so it was interesting. The lady at the store was soooo nice though and played blocks with Andrew lol. It was a small store so I still could see him :) Ahh... toddlers. Life is getting so interesting with these temper tantrums and declaration of independence! I wonder what it will be like with a newborn on top of it all lol. Only a few more months and I will know :) But after being in full speed mode all day, there was a moment of peace. After bath time has got to be one of my favorite times of the day. Andrew is clean and smells so good and he likes to relax, read a book, and cuddle with me. Tonight he jumped up in my bed and got under the covers and just started reading his Bible to himself. I didn't even help him. It was the cutest thing ever! I read to Andrew for awhile and then he went to sleep in his crib :)

Day 34 - February 3, 2009

Today Andrew said "pease" (for please)! He used to always just give me a kiss when I told him to say please but now he actually says it too!

Today he was playing in the living room and put a stacking cup on the Indian ladies head. (She's my dad's lamp)

He also loves playing with "bocks" aka blocks. He is even really good about putting them away! It may be the only toy I don't have to ask him to put away and help him put away! Believe it or not.

Day 33 - February 2, 2009

I had to have my blood drawn today to check on my thyroid hormone levels. I go to the doctor on February 9th to see if they are better now. Andrew went with me and was a perfect angel! That never happens lol. He woke up from a nap in the car and went inside with me. He cuddled with me almost the whole time. When the lady called me up to get me signed in Andrew waked up to the window with me then when we sat back down he sat in his own chair and talked to me until we were called back. When we were back there he sat on my lap, i got my blood drawn and we left... perfect angel!

Then we went to Ryan's shop and Andrew wore his adorable sunglasses and tried to start a quad with a screwdriver... oh the things you learn from your dad. Well, I think this quad belonged to the owner of the mechanic shop that shares a space with Ryan because I have never seen Ryan start one with a screwdriver, lol. But Andrew can already grab a key, put it in a quad, turn it, and start it up. Oh, and press the throttle! Crazy! Dangerous maybe since he isn't even 2?!

My picture is of Andrew and his Uncle Chris on the quad he tried to start with a screwdriver. The screwdriver was already in the ignition so I am assuming that's why Andrew thought this was a good idea. Look at his face! This kid always has me laughing!

Day 32 - February 1, 2009

It's already February?!? What happened to January?

Any way, for today my picture is of Andrew being a big boy.

Yes, he wants to put on deodorant. Most days at our house are the same. We wake up, I take Andrew downstairs and get him a banana, juice, and whatever we are having for breakfast. He will watch cartoons while I make breakfast. Then, when Ryan gets up, he will come downstairs and make his phone calls out on the back patio. Then he will come inside, eat something, and ask Andrew if he wants to take a shower. Andrew usually says "shower" and will walk upstairs to the shower. Some days he says no but most days he likes to. Andrew wants to be just like his dad I think. It is hilarious the way he will stand under the shower head letting the water run on him... just like a grown up! Then he will brush his teeth and spit (imaginary spit because he swallows all his toddler toothpaste I think) right in the drain. (The shower is all tile and pretty big with a seat and 2 extra jets) Wonder where he learned that... dad. Then he gets his towel wrapped around him when he is done, comes in our room and lays down. I am not sure why he does this. But after awhile I get a diaper on him and get him dressed then go downstairs. Ryan's deodorant is usually in the downstairs bathroom and Andrew will go to it wanting to put some on. He knows how to take the lid off and where it goes but Ryan usually does it for him so that he doesn't wear real deodorant :) It is just funny that he acts like Ryan and soaks so much up!
